Hello.
"Can anyone help me and tell me which engine control module (ECM) parameters I should log and post to help identify a potentially faulty mass airflow sensor (MAF)? I've seen approximately a 2-liter increase in fuel consumption over the last 1500 km with the same driving style. There's no noticeable loss of power, just about 20 km less top speed. The error memory shows nothing, except for a "fuel temperature sensor to ground or shorted" error. Could that be related?"

I could run some tests and post the results here. What values do you need for that?

Best regards,
Mirko

It would be great if people followed the rules, it would be nice if you used the search function, and it would be really good if you first read about how a diesel engine works, what it does, and how to diagnose problems.

Here, no one will explain the absolute basics to you. They are so simple that you can understand them in a short amount of time, just by using the search function.

I've already looked into this myself. However, after using the search function and finding a thread, I thought I would start a new one, just in case someone else might encounter this problem if I simply added my values to the existing thread.

Okay, well then, I'll just start posting. I'll log the MWBS (presumably a specific term or acronym) tomorrow.

I was actually hoping for a more helpful response. I've been looking into this for a while now, but I wanted to ask again before posts start appearing like, "You're too stupid to record the correct logs." But, you know, it is what it is...

By the way, "ajm" is not listed in your required data database!

He doesn't have to, as you can find comparison data from other sources.

I was actually hoping for a more friendly response. I've been dealing with this for a while now, but I wanted to ask again before posts like 'you're too dumb to record the correct logs' start appearing. But, you know, whatever....

That's exactly how it is. That's how it's done. I'm going to close this now. Please use the search function more actively, read, and learn. icon_wink.gif Because none of this has anything to do with being unintelligent.
