Now I've noticed that on some two-door models with the 2FH option, the display sometimes shows '16' instead of '64'... if that's the case, I can't activate the window opening and closing function using the remote control.
Changing the value from 16 to 64 in VAG-COM now results in an error message indicating that no door control units are detected.
Yes, that's what's happening... It's not just happening with one IBI (Integrated Body Module), but with several now... The other functions are working fine... When I select code 64, it displays the message that it can't find the door control modules, as I mentioned.
Okay, I'm experiencing the problem you described. I drive a Seat Ibiza Cupra TDI, manufactured in September 2005, model year 2006 (production started in May 2005).
Here are the findings so far:
The power windows can be operated up and down via the door lock on the driver's side.
There is no response when using the remote control.
I have electrically adjustable and retractable, as well as heated, exterior mirrors.
In addition, I also ordered the anti-theft system with interior protection. The interior protection can now be deactivated separately via the remote control, while until around 2004, a switch was installed inside the vehicle.
I have made several attempts with a friend to reprogram the control unit in order to also be able to use the comfort functions via the remote control.
My car also has electric front windows as standard (3-door model). In the comfort control module (code 46), "16" is also coded (despite the electric front windows). Programming it to "46" doesn't result in any visible changes. In VAGCom, nothing is displayed when the coding is "16", and no front left or front right door control modules are found when the coding is "64".
Regarding the door control modules, I'm a bit unsure at the moment. My acquaintance (who has a VW Bora TDI, year 1999) needed new window lift motors along with the door control modules when he retrofitted the electrically folding exterior mirrors.
I hope someone can still provide a logical explanation of what else can be tried, or why it's no longer possible.
