What do you think about diesel additives? I've heard that you have to, for example, add engine oil to kerosene and, and in the winter, use the product MINUS or gasoline if you don't use winter diesel. However, I've read that gasoline can damage the ESP (Electronic Stability Program) due to the removal of the lubricating film, especially if you have a common-rail engine. Can you prophylactically add engine oil to prevent wear, or does that achieve the opposite, especially if it increases the viscosity of the fuel, particularly during the winter? What about other additives, such as those from LiquiMoly?

The pump is a Bosch pump, but I have to admit, I don't know the difference between a common rail pump and a distributor pump. However, thanks to you, I now know that it's a distributor pump. I enjoy experimenting with fuels and I'm considering mixing vegetable oil with diesel to save money and protect the environment. That's why I wanted to know how robust my ESP is, because this component seems to be both 1. the most expensive and 2. the most likely to break.
