Hello heating oil - ferrari driver
Even though I'm putting myself in a difficult or uncomfortable situation by asking this question...
Could you please share your experiences with the above-mentioned [topic]? Posting stuff??
Thank you in advance, and greetings from Lake Constance.

Hi Tobi,
I once bought a diesel additive from LiquiMoly for about 10 euros, which was supposed to have cleaning and performance-enhancing effects. You have to pour the stuff into the full tank, and supposedly the effect lasts through the next refueling.Well, I didn't notice anything.
At a local repair shop, I was told that I should consider getting an engine flush (or something similar) done around my car's mileage (approximately 128,000 km), as the engine might be quite dirty. He then pointed out that when the valve cover is removed, you can see that everything is saturated with soot, oil, and dirt, and that these contaminants could be removed with such a cleaning process.(Before changing the oil, add the flushing agent to the oil, let the engine run for a short time, then change the oil.)I, of course, didn't let them do that, and I took the lid off at home, and sure enough, there was no sign of excessive dirt. Just oil, and I suppose that's how it has to be.
Based on these two experiences, I dare to claim that such additions only prove useful when you have specifically identified an error and are trying them as a first attempt. For example, to verschandeln an injection pump or the valves. But simply trying to gain some performance without a specific goal is probably a waste of money.
Perhaps others have also had positive experiences.Well then.
Greetings,Thomas. -----------------------------------------------------

I once used an injector cleaner. It didn't do anything. No changes in soot emissions, no loss or gain in performance, no increase or decrease in fuel consumption, no changes in oil or coolant temperatures, or anything like that.
For me, it's clear that it's useless.
I've also tried using oil leak stoppers before, but they don't work for me either.
My conclusion: I don't want anything to do with that stuff anymore. I am healed . |

Hello,
I always get my fuel from my field representative at L-M, specifically their Super-Diesel.and the new Speed-Diesel additive, and I can report that, in my experience...I've noticed the following:
The engine is more responsive, definitely produces less smoke, and I mean...He needs approximately 0.2 liters less (which isn't much).
My conclusion: Very good!
I always enjoy it when he enters our shop.
Best regards, H-P. |

I've only had good experiences with it. After having problems starting the engine in sub-zero temperatures, I tried adding a tank of L-M Superdiesel additive. After that, it started up a little better and was also a bit quieter. |
