Hello everyone,
If I ever have a question or uncertainty, I can usually find the answer through searching or by using other resources.
Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a specific post... honestly!
I have a "problem" where the maximum boost pressure on my turbocharger only occurs around 2500 RPM.
If I disconnect the pressure hose from the "suction" pipe and let the engine idle, I don't feel any airflow at all. So, I'm going to take a look at the turbocharger.
Okay, so I was thinking... 347,000 km on the clock... why not take a look at the catalytic converter while you're at it? So, I took the part off, and now I'm standing here with my "skills." I can see a little bit through the middle section with an LED flashlight, but not very intensely. It's visible, but it's not blinding at all. Around the edges, dry carbon buildup is blocking the flow, or the entry, of exhaust gases into the catalytic converter. Maybe about 5% is being lost there. Additionally, some channels are blocked here and there by some things (unidentifiable). But that's more or less minor.
Now, finally, my question...
What should the inside of an Oxykat look like so that, at least visually, it appears to be in good condition?
Can it be answered like this?
Thank you for your effort and attempt.
