I also have a similar problem, but only when it's ice cold.
Okay, so I'm keeping it running, and it's running normally and very smoothly (well, it's a brand new engine). But when you try to start driving without giving it much gas, it almost stalls. After about 100 meters, the problem disappears, and then I can drive normally.
'Does this only happen when starting the engine, specifically during the first or second acceleration, if I start below 1700 rpm?'

I think I've narrowed down the problem now. My diesel engine seems to be experiencing occasional choking, which I suspect is due to a malfunction of the intake manifold control valve.
or, alternatively, attribute it to a shut-off valve.
Firstly, the error message has reappeared. Secondly, when the engine stutters, you can hear the characteristic 'flop' sound, similar to when the engine is turned off and the valve closes.
Now I just need to figure out what's going wrong.

Da fällt mir zu ein: loggen, oder mal versuchsweise den Unterdruckschlauch abziehen. Kann mir eine Fehlfunktion irgendwie gar nicht vorstellen, dachte das Ding arbeitet binär. Aauf or Zu.
The AJM engine probably doesn't have a throttle valve like the AXR engine, just like the ASZ engine. Or does it?

Well, I'm not really sure how this thing could be malfunctioning. Maybe the vacuum hose is broken, or perhaps the solenoid valve, if there is one connected.
It works by the valve being opened via vacuum. If the error memory indicates a short circuit, it could be that the vacuum is momentarily too low, or there's simply a loose connection. Even a very brief closing of the valve would be enough to cause the engine to stall significantly, which is what's happening.
The AJM engine does not have a throttle valve.

As far as I know, the flap is closed by vacuum. In my case, it's open when the engine is off.

Okay, here's the solution to the puzzle - for now.
It was a vacuum hose that had a leak, specifically the one that runs along the front of the engine block and connects to the vacuum reservoir (the black, round plastic ball thing on the left side of the oil filter housing). It had been worn through by a hose clamp.
Let's see how long he purrs for...

So, it's happened again – it's clear that at VW, nothing is certain except perhaps the uncertainty itself. Now the car is stalling again. So, it can't be the UD hose.
The only remaining possibility is that there's something wrong with the solenoid valve. It will be replaced on Thursday.

"But surely, defects from that direction should be noticeable when logging the data. If the values are completely off, there must be some indication. A faulty UD hose wouldn't explain why the problems subsided after a certain amount of time."

No idea. In any case, after the stuttering occurs, this error message is always left in the MSG.
Throttle valve control unit for intake manifold flap - N239.
Short circuit to ground.
sporadically

Okay, so the new solenoid valve is installed, costing 23 euros. And guess what: I spent a week on a winter vacation in the Czech Republic with freezing temperatures, etc., and there was no more jerking, sputtering, or anything else. It seems like the culprit has been found.

Hello.
"I'm also experiencing the same problem with the stuttering, but it only happens occasionally for me. Sometimes I have a week without it, other times it happens every other day. It usually occurs in 5th or 6th gear when driving at a low speed and then trying to accelerate. It usually only lasts for about 3-5 seconds, and then everything goes back to normal. The diesel filter is new, and all the pressure lines have been checked for leaks."
A few weeks ago, I set the AGR (Abgasrückführung) rate to the minimum value using VAG Com, as described in this forum. Could it possibly be related to that?

Hi.
The exhaust gas recirculation adjustment wasn't saved, I've checked it again. The misfire just won't go away, and it mainly happens when the oil temperature is between 40 and 70 degrees Celsius. Above that temperature, you can do whatever you want, and there's no misfire.
The day before yesterday, I experienced a slightly longer stutter, similar to a tongue click, for about 5 seconds. Before that, it was only a jerky stutter.
I've now disconnected the plug from the PDE cable harness, which is located on the right side of the control unit.  Everything looks fine inside, no oxidation or anything like that. The error memory also doesn't show anything.  I'm really starting to lose it. }

Hi.
The stuttering is happening more and more frequently . Still no error entries. I'm starting to despair, if only my Golf would "talk" to me (error entry) . I've checked all the lines and filters, but I haven't found anything. What's strange is that when it's warm, and the oil is above 70°C, it works perfectly.
Does anyone have any other suggestions for me? I've already searched through all the posts in the forum...
