Check the valve seats!! If a cylinder has little or no compression, there's probably a reason for it!
I don't agree with you experimenting with the camshafts. Do you have a warranty at work if the coating doesn't hold up? And are you also going to replace the lifters and hydraulic tappets, right?
I can't understand how your ESP broke down. You drove the car all the way to the workshop, and then the pump supposedly failed there? A4 Avant 2,5 tdi 110kw; AFB; BJ2000

I can't imagine that such a coating would last. While it may be wear-resistant itself, the pressure from the heart valve will likely cause it to peel off. Gruß Christian

Hi,
Regarding the coating, I would also be cautious. If anything starts to peel off, you could quickly encounter a major problem, potentially leading to engine damage. Therefore, I would recommend installing the original parts, as they are known to last for many kilometers.
Regarding the hydraulic components, I could also imagine a faulty or non-functional one at this point. I've seen hydraulics that were practically disassembled. These things aren't always reliable. However, if that were the case, you should be able to see something about it on that cylinder itself. What do the hydraulics look like? Do you perhaps have any photos of them? As for the camshafts, they look very bad. Are all the intermediate shims still present on the valves?

Hi, so deep as 1-1.5 mm? Given how your cylinder head is machined, the repair isn't worth it - see what the previous person said. Could you please check the engine code (MKB)? I'm interested in seeing the price for good replacement parts.
If 4 units cost 600 euros each, then 450 euros for 4 units with questionable durability is still too much! Gruß, der Teileklaus

Hello,
The coating is one thing, and the temperature is another. Repairing/restoring the propeller shaft is done using a welding process (price approximately €440 with a 6-month warranty -> new propeller shafts cost €900). With the coating, nothing can actually chip off (they coat hard metal drill bits, saw blades, connecting rods, etc.). Also, it's only 8 micrometers thick (a portion of the chrome goes several micrometers deep into the material) (see http://www.eifeler.com/).).
New pushrods and rocker arms are being installed. Unfortunately, I don't know what the hydraulic lifters and valve tappets looked like (and I don't have any pictures of them).
Today, the technician who was supposed to check the ESP informed me that it's okay. I'm having him also inspect the injectors. It seems like that repair shop really doesn't know what they're doing.

Okay, and what do you do when the warranty period of 1.5 years has expired, and you are told:
That's due to the linkage levers - poor quality.
Could you please send me the MKB? I'm seeing less than 4 waves. Gruß, der Teileklaus

Hello,
The new trailer hitch is from Audi.
The MKB is an AFB.

Okay, so everything together – including the water pump, thermostat, and various seals – costs around €1000 at VAG (Volkswagen Group). However, you might need to act quickly or buy from a more affordable dealer, as the prices listed are quite high. Gruß Christian

The problem has been identified: two exhaust valves were completely blocked. It is likely that the valves were not fully opening due to the turbocharger (NW), which caused them to overheat excessively from the exhaust gases.
I was going to have the waves refurbished for 200 euros, but I found a cheaper provider.
The control linkages and hydraulic components are new.
