Hello, I'm experiencing the following problem with a Tiguan 1 with the 170hp CBBB engine:

The engine is not taking fuel well and has less power at low speeds. Jerks severely.
The injectors would be replaced and reprogrammed after a complete overhaul.

The engine initially ran better, but then only ran very poorly. We then performed a compression test. Result: Cylinder 1 and 2: No! (0) Compression.

What could it be? The car needs to go to the workshop next week. Does anyone have an idea?

Best regards, David

Hi
It's likely that the head gasket has blown.
Best regards.

Hello,

Without compression on individual cylinders, the only solution is to remove the head. The injectors and spark plugs should hopefully be installed correctly and be airtight, which is easy to see.

And, what was the ultimate reason, then? I'm facing a similar situation: the first two cylinders have no compression, the cylinder head is removed, the valves appear to be okay, and the piston crowns appear to be okay.

Hi, the headpiece was broken. Burned through between the cylinders.
Most likely caused by the poor injectors.

Then the device was faulty or it was used incorrectly…

If the light bulbs are installed and sealed, and the valves are closed and sealed. If the cylinder head gasket and the cylinder head itself are undamaged, the piston is in place and moving, then there is nothing left but a measurement error, or?

Who says that the pistons are in good condition? There were, in fact, two rings broken.
However, at the time the post was created, I didn't know this and therefore inquired further.

If the light bulbs are installed, you cannot measure compression...

Okay, as of August 3rd, nothing had been written about it yet. Then the cause has been found.

Of course, it is correct that the light bulbs are removed for measurement purposes. Then I remove the light bulb and say injector.

But it's great that it's been resolved.
