Hello everyone,
I have been trying for quite some time to get an idea of the condition of my DPF. Specifically, I want to monitor the wear and tear of the DPF from the beginning, so essentially, I want to know how much ash is stored within it. I have already installed the latest Beta version of VCDS (10.5.0), which now also includes a label file for my CBBB.
I have been following the discussions about DPFs on this forum quite closely. So far, the only information that has been provided has been about ash mass. However, I am now seeing specifications for ash volume in ml on my engine's ECU. It seems that VW is now specifying ash volume instead of -mass for newer engines. When it comes to soot loading, the specifications are still given in grams.
But where does this maximum value for the ash volume lie for the CBBB?
VCDS displays a seemingly arbitrary and uninformative range of -360 to +360 when the MWB is traversed with the mouse pointer.
Incidentally, I still see 0ml displayed in the ash volume after exactly 5,000 km. From other Golf VI with CBBB, I know values ranging from 9ml to 16tkm.
Are 0ml plausible? Gruß
Roger

"still" doesn't fit because it's not accurate.
BLS and BMR (i.e., 1.9x mPD and 2.0x PPD) have the loading coefficient in %.
068.1, Loading coefficient
At 40% (or other environments), regeneration occurs.
This includes ash, which is measured (calculated) as mass in g.
068,2,Ash mass
Do you have screenshots, since the CR-Diesel unfortunately have CLBs? Transparency, Teamwork

Currently, only the log is available here. I am currently still a bit out of action after a jaw surgery, so I can't get to my car.

Then they have completely overhauled the DPF system.
Because everything is almost different from my xPD engines.

I had already asked about this in the VCDS forum when the last beta version was released. Sebastian has subsequently edited his response, which I just noticed.
Quote: | | When the volume exceeds 175 ml, the particulate filter must be replaced. Approximately 1.03 ml are added per 1000 km - therefore, the remaining range until replacement can also be calculated. |
That would certainly clear things up. I still have 0ml left after 5,000km, so the replacement should not be necessary under my driving conditions... well, let's just say never . Gruß

MWBs:
I didn't notice any differences.
Indeed, they differ in the data, as the BLS is completely imperceptible (unless you rotate it upright, then it creates a strong suction), and the BMR becomes even more erratic. I can feel every shutdown due to load, and usually also the end. Generally, the calculation of the contribution of the splash-filling to the torque has not been very successful.

At MT, there is a participant who has a GTD (presumably a vehicle). This GTD has 16,000 km on the odometer. Maybe one of you has an idea about this:
Quote: | Good morning,
had to work longer today  and only arrived at the highway at 8 PM. At this time, there was very little traffic, so I was able to enjoy one of the few moments and really get it going (the engine was at operating temperature).
I noticed that when I was driving against a solid surface (at a speed of 233 km/h according to the speedometer), there was extreme smoke and I could barely see the vehicles in my rearview mirror. This phenomenon occurred repeatedly whenever I pressed the accelerator pedal fully. I only knew it from my 4er without a charcoal filter, and it was quite dark.
Elsewhere, I had already mentioned the fireworks display. B. while reading a news article about a city, I now don't know if I can apply the facts to my situation.
Current daily distance: 70 KM highway and 20 KM country/city roads, with traffic often preventing high speeds.
Inside the house, there was also a faint smell. The scent was familiar, but I couldn't identify it. The oil temperature sometimes reached 113 degrees, and the fan did not run when the car was turned off.
|
This behavior demonstrates his GTD (Getting Things Done) approach whenever he takes a faster "AB" route.
Oil and water levels are normal. Regeneration also excludes, the ash mass (Is) was 0.
VCDS told him the following:
-3 mbar Particle Filter Differential Pressure
0.0 Not Regeneration Current Duration
0.0 Successful Regenerations
3.0 Requested Regenerations
13.2 l Verbrauch since regeneration
220 km distance since regeneration
180.0 Time since regeneration
9 ml Particle Filter Oil Chamber Volume
12.0 Particulate Filter, Russ Mass (Required)
0.0 Particulate Filter, Russmasse (Existing)
Otherwise, no entries in the fault memory. Gruß

Here is the solution to the case from MT:
Symptoms:
Extremely strong smoke development during full-load driving on the highway for several days, even at the end when there was no load.
Before going to the garage: Underbody protection, right-side splash shield, wet/dripping.
Diagnosis:
Leak in the injection unit area, fuel leakage in this area, diesel "standing" on the engine block; "burning" of fuel on the hot engine block/header etc.
Treatment:
- Car washing
Exchange of
- Second injection unit. Cylinder
- Seals
- Incoming and outgoing lines Gruß
