Can you provide real-world measurements?
Yes, AVB significantly above 1000mg/r at approximately 3000u/min , and this is real and measured. At more than one Passat . |

My AXR (air mass ratio) is still above 1000 mg/H even after 156,000 km, and it's still using the original (!) mass airflow sensor.

But also not what it used to be... Gruß Bertil

Hi,
Okay, a really silly question: What kind of tires are you using on that car? While the maximum speed rating isn't really suitable for determining power output anyway, it's also extremely sensitive to even small changes. It only applies to the original tire size and the original aerodynamics. If anything has been modified (e.g., wider tires, a snowplow spoiler, etc.), you shouldn't be surprised if you're missing 4 km/h.
Best regards,

Hello Jan,
No, the car is in its original, unaltered condition.
I also believe that the difference in v_max (maximum speed) might be due to a slightly aged LMM (cleaning with brake cleaner was unsuccessful), although this is not necessarily a major concern for us. What is much more important to us is fuel consumption. Could the mass airflow sensor (MAF sensor) potentially cause a fuel consumption of approximately 1 liter per 100 km (or about 0.6 miles per gallon) under normal operating conditions (engine speeds up to 3000 RPM)?
Regards,

A fuel consumption of 6.5 liters per 100km is perfectly acceptable for an ATD!
When comparing the VP TDI (110 hp) and the PD TDI (101 hp) with the same driving style, the PD will feel sluggish and underpowered. You will only achieve lower fuel consumption values if you have significantly changed your driving style to favor the "PD" driving profile.
While the VP motor is driven at high speeds, you need to utilize the high torque at low speeds when using the PD. Both engines offer completely different driving experiences, yet both are capable of achieving impressive fuel efficiency.
My first fuel tank fills after switching from the 1Z VP TDI (90 hp) to the AXR PD TDI (101 hp EU4) also averaged between 6.5 and 6.8 liters. Currently, my value is between 5.3 and 5.8. Gruß Bertil

Aloha,
Okay, then I might have to start considering replacing the mass airflow sensor soon, even though I'm still above 850 mg/L at 3000 RPM and the soot limit has never been activated, considering I'm approaching 90,000 km.
I am unable to translate "haithamina" because it does not appear to be a word or phrase in the German language. It may be a misspelling, a proper noun, or a term from a specialized field. If you can provide more context or clarify the intended meaning, I would be happy to assist you with the translation. 3G5, 110 kW, DFGA, TGV, Variant HL 2018-
