Hello everyone!
I have a problem! I've been desperately searching for a reinforced clutch for my AFN engine for days. I currently have the original clutch installed, which has a diameter of 220mm. The only thing I've found so far is from Sachs, but it's 228mm in diameter, and as far as I know, that won't fit, right?
I'm actually going to be driving approximately 400 kilometers with the CYP transmission soon! Not with the AFN engine, but with the 1.8T 225 HP engine from the TT. As I mentioned, I currently have the AFN transmission with a dual-mass flywheel installed on that engine. I want to install a reinforced clutch because I plan to increase the power of the 1.8T in the future.
Many people have advised me to get a G60 with an upgraded clutch, but I'm not really sure about it! It also compromises the comfort a bit, which I don't want!
So, do you have any ideas about using a reinforced clutch with a dual-mass flywheel?
Okay, how about the dual-mass flywheels from the Golf 4 (110 HP TDI, 130 HP TDI, etc.)? Would those fit too? Don't they have a 228mm clutch?

The only thing that makes sense is to convert to an EMS system in combination with a Sachs racing sport clutch.
It's definitely not cheap! (The clutch alone costs around 520 euros!)

The entire kit, including 2 MSRs, costs just over €500. EMS was discussed and quickly rejected in the TDI. } (read)

Can you provide me with a source (preferably via private message)? What about the 1z model? Does Sachs offer anything more powerful? (under 520 euros )

He's driving a 1.8 T, not a TDI!
In my opinion, it doesn't need a ZMS.
SPEC clutches are available up to 800 Nm, which should definitely be sufficient. However, Stage 2 or Stage 2+ is usually enough.
Best regards, Alex.

Have you found a source yet, or was that just hot air (on the forum)? }

I think this topic can be closed now!
If you want to tune something, you have to invest money! Otherwise, it's either not possible or the result will be garbage. ehemals G4 ASZ, jetzt G4 ARL

Why would someone install a dual-mass flywheel (ZMS) on a 1.8 T? A TDI driver would be happy not to need a ZMS, and if they installed one even though they didn't need it, that would be ridiculous!
