Hello,
I've owned my VW Passat B5, manufactured in 2000, with engine code AHH and 66 kW, for about 7 months.
Reading the error memory previously revealed the following two entries:
18047 - Accelerator Position Sensor 1/2 (G79/G185): Implausible signal P1639 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent.
and
01039 - Coolant Temperature Sensor (G2) 30-10 - Open or Short to B+ - Intermittent.
However, it has only happened three times that my vehicle went into emergency mode and the accelerator stopped working.
I've read a lot about error code 18047, and I know how difficult it can sometimes be to fix.
About two weeks ago, I replaced the G62 temperature sensor myself, which solved the temperature gauge problem. Now, the question remains whether there is a connection between the two issues.
01039 and 18047.
Could it be that replacing the G62 temperature sensor also resolved the fault code 18047?
