Hi.
Does anyone have experience using an Eee device and VCDS together?
Is there anything against it?
I'm considering getting an Eee PC "for cable internet access."
Okay, here's the translation:
Thank you.

Okay, right now I can only test with the Akoya e1210 using VCDS, because I bought one. I know the Eee is different, but I'm very happy with the Akoya!

Hi,
I currently have an A110 from One. Compared to the EEE, it has the advantage of being significantly cheaper (199 Euros) and offering a much longer battery life (4 to 5 hours with the standard battery). However, this only applies to the Linux version of the A110; the A150 and A450 have smaller batteries. It's also possible to reinstall Windows on it. Therefore, it could also be an alternative as a VCDS-only device.
I haven't tried it yet, but it's supposed to run on Linux (but on my version, not the one that's currently installed).
Best regards,

Matthias,
That's the Aldi thing. Yes, darn it, I was in France when it came out... and now it's too late, because Aldi only has the item in stock for one week .
That's what I wanted.

Hello Martin,
Yes, that's the Aldi product. I'm very happy with it and I only use it when I'm on the go. However, it's essentially a "modified" MSI Wind 100, which is also being released on the market for a similar price, and it comes with Bluetooth... that one is also quite good.

I've been running VCDS for about six months now on a small, black Eee PC 701.
So far, no problems at all, it's simply great.

I'm using an Acer C100 with 256MB of RAM, an 800 MHz processor, a 20 GB hard drive, and a 10.4" touchscreen display. I bought it used for €280. The battery isn't the best anymore, but I have a DC converter from 12V to 20V that I connect via the cigarette lighter socket. It works perfectly with that. However, the display can only be operated with a stylus.[/sub] VCDS

Not all bugs with and on the Asus E³ have been resolved. However, according to the manufacturer, this is currently being worked on .
