Hello,
The T5 vehicle automatically activates its diesel-powered preheating system at these outside temperatures until the coolant temperature reaches a sufficient level.
I only find options for unlocking and locking. I also think a permanent deactivation wouldn't be a problem. Are there any ideas on how to do that?

My old, new idea is:
Switch the indoor control panel to "Summer" mode to adjust the settings based on the external temperature sensor.
- I did that on an Alhambra.
Edit: A permanent deactivation is not ideal via OBD, but can be easily solved using a switch. Gruß, der Teileklaus

Well, the goal was to avoid something like that "act of violence"...
Something else is needed.
I've had that idea before, but I don't want to solve it that way.

I already suspected that, but isn't that also "digital": on/off, finished, and that small cable, if it's connected to a nice, original switch... Gruß, der Teileklaus

Okay, I still want to get this part working like a regular auxiliary heater... maybe they're working on a solution. The frustrating thing is that it can't be turned off. The user manual says it should be deactivated using the "Econ" function of the climate control system, but that seems to be a lie... because when you open the door, you can always smell and hear the oil heater working right underneath the car!

I noticed that the auxiliary heating function was no longer available when using the "Econ" mode in the Touran. Gruß, der Teileklaus
