Piezo Injectors: 3.0 TDI - Installation & Problems

Does the current 3.0 TDI engine already use piezo injectors, or are they still using solenoid valves?

Has this been the case since the 3.0 versions, or only with the latest generation?

As far as I understand SSP351, it's been around for a while. The 3.0CR, on the other hand, isn't that old.

It certainly says a lot about the engine - I would also expect a 3.0-liter engine to have good acceleration.

I find the 1800 bar mentioned there strange - didn't the 3.0 have a second-generation common rail system? - or is it a "marketing exaggeration"?

I can offer "EDC 16 CP" and "up to 1600 bar" for the 3.0.
The 2.0 CR refers to "EDC 17" and "1800 bar".

And since the Audi page for "Audi A6 TDI Engines" mentions "up to," everything is correct .

Just checked - in the current 3.0 TDI engine with EDC17, the maximum pressure is exactly 1650 bar.

Software version is 390626, I'm afraid I don't know the MKB.

Okay, I just checked for comparison: the 155/212 BNG EDC16 has a maximum pressure of 1600 bar.
