The injectors of the 2.7L V6 TDI and 3.0L V6 TDI engines can be checked for abnormalities using the zero-quantity calibration function in VCDS.
The control durations for each calibration pressure can be found in the engine control unit within measurement blocks 72-76.
More recent 1.6/2.0/2.7/3.0 CR-TDIs make these values available, but somewhat hidden, in the extended diagnostic data blocks.
The following limits apply to 2.7/3.0 CR-TDIs,
feedback on all engines and their calibration pressures is welcome.
Still to be clarified is why "ms" is displayed here for my 2.0 TDI, while "us" is shown instead.
As limits, a value of -45ms can be applied to the first value in each measurement block, and a different limit applies to the second value. Value (calibration pressure) -15ms.
Larger negative values indicate wear on the respective injector, which then no longer closes properly or drips.
Larger positive values indicate carbonized injectors or clogged nozzle openings.
