Hello everyone!

'The airbag warning light has recently started illuminating on my A4 (year 1997). The control unit shows an intermittent error message: 'Driver's seat side airbag - resistance too high'.'
Will the airbag fail immediately, or is it just a problem with the connectors? What's the best way to check this? What resistance value should I simulate for the control unit as a replacement? Or is this error known to occur with this type of system?

Thank you in advance.

Hi,
If I remember correctly, this error is a known issue. In my opinion, it was due to a faulty connector. As far as I know, the solution was to replace the connector with a soldered connection.
But the search function will probably be able to help you more precisely.

Best, Andy.

Thank you very much again.
