The Volkswagen Golf III has a pressure-dependent and a load-dependent brake force distribution system, depending on the model. As far as I understand, that's all clear.
Now, there are two different (but similar) part numbers for load-dependent braking force regulators, is there also a technical difference?
VAG 1HO 612 151 C for models with disc brakes (BOSCH 0204131***).
VAG 1HO 612 151 for models with drum brakes (BOSCH 0204131***).
No differences were observed on the brake testing equipment at VW (regarding the conversion of disc brakes from a VR6 to a GOLF III TDI (1Z) using 4-hole discs).
Visually, there is no difference to be observed.
