GRA Functions: Differences Explained

Hello everyone,
I retrofitted a Gasoline Particulate Filter (GPF) to my Golf 4 Cabrio TDI with the engine code ALE.
Everything is working perfectly, but the engine control unit (MSA15.5) has different GRA functions.

1. Version (Standard GRA):
SET button for setting / accelerating.
RES button for speed resume.
'Press the AUS (OFF) key to turn off the GRA.'
With this version, no delays will be tolerated!

2. Version ( A simulation, GRA with delay ):
SET button to set / delay.
RES button for speed resume / Accelerate
PRESS the AUS (OFF) key to turn off the GRA.

What logging method can be used to switch between GRA versions?
Is that even possible?

Hi,

The version of your GRA (Gas Recirculation) is determined by the software in the engine control unit (ECU), and therefore, it cannot be switched.

Given that the convertible largely consists of G3 components and was later retrofitted with G4 technology, I can definitely imagine that there might be different software versions used in it.

My G3 had version 1, and my G4 now has version 2.
I'm still pressing the SET button today to accelerate, and then I wonder why it's getting slower .
