Hello,
I hope I'm not completely out of place posting about my gasoline TFSI engine in a forum dedicated to diesel engines.

My vehicle is a Seat Leon 1P 2.0 TFSI with engine code BWA.
The vehicle has been OBD-tuned, increasing the horsepower from 185 to 240.

"For some time now, I've been experiencing occasional, brief power interruptions at higher gears and engine speeds."

I stopped by my local car parts store so they could read the engine control unit for any error codes. They found an error code related to the throttle body that couldn't be cleared, and they kept my vehicle because they didn't have enough time to fix it until tomorrow.
The next day, I was able to pick up my vehicle. The error code had been cleared, and they said everything was okay with my car, so I took it for a test drive.

The power outages are still noticeable sometimes.

I've now gotten myself a data cable so I can check things out myself.

Since then, the following errors have appeared:

Everything will be deleted.

The errors are not entirely clear to me; is this coming from...?
Intake manifold flap V157 with sensor G336.
or from the
Throttle valve J338 with sensor(s) G187 + G188?

Can the intake manifold flap (V157) be recalibrated using VAG-COM?

Okay, I've now created two log files using VCDS that show the misfires.

I just realized that maybe next time I should also log the throttle position sensor data.
Perhaps that's the reason for the glitches. Is it included somewhere?

I'm also going to contact the tuner to see what they think and whether it could be related to the power increase.

Maybe someone among you can give me some important tips. icon_lol.gif

Regards,
Michael.

Is the throttle angle appearing in the log because of your right foot or because of the error? icon_cool.gif

"Those were the instances where the engine stalled. Everything was running at full throttle except when shifting gears, so I later thought it might be related to the accelerator pedal sensors."
On the other hand, there are no misfires in the lower RPM range.

It was already quite lucky to get those glitches logged icon_eek.gif.

Okay, so I would say that either the engine control unit (ECU) is setting the throttle angle in a strange way at that moment (a bug in the software?), or the throttle itself is behaving erratically. -> Could be a problem with the wiring harness, or a faulty throttle position sensor/actuator?

The mixed-mode adaptation doesn't actually look bad, the question is just how quickly the diagnostic values are adjusted.

Have you already compared the actual fuel pressure to the target value? It wouldn't be good if the engine control unit (ECU) triggered an emergency shutdown due to a lean mixture and slammed the throttle shut.

Best regards, Rainer.

Thank you, Rainer, for your information.
I hadn't even thought about the fuel supply yet icon_idea.gif; I've only been paying attention to the values for boost pressure and air mass so far.

Do you think the high-definition pump is incapable of delivering a sufficient flow rate?
There's also the pressure relief valve, which might be slightly leaking.

I'll see if I can log the pressure readings from the G410 (low pressure) and G247 (high pressure) sensors using VAG-COM.

Does anyone know what the typical minimum values are?

Hello,
I've done some more log flights.

For me, nothing unusual is apparent.
I logged the accelerator pedal data, and everything seems to be okay.
Both throttle valve actuators are operating smoothly as well.
I think the fuel pressures are also okay.

I'm not entirely clear why the values of the throttle valve are...
distinguish from measuring blocks 003/3 and 062/1+2.

The values from measurement block 062 are the same as the values for G187 and G188.
What is the value in block 003/3 then? Is that the value that the control unit wants to achieve?

I called Wendland today to ask about their policy regarding cancellations.
The answer was almost clear to me: "It can't come from the control unit" icon_eek.gif.

Is the mass airflow sensor an original part or from China?

The mass airflow sensor is still the original one, and I don't think those are much good anymore.
I've already cleaned it, but nothing has changed.

I've also been thinking about taking one (a car part), but is the 1.6 FSI engine the same?
