I am currently working on resolving the issue "ESP fails after 10 minutes due to an implausible generator load signal" (in ESP 18265 - Load Signal: Error Message from ECU, in ASZ 17911 - Load Signal from Alternator Terminal. DF: Implausible Signal).
I obtained the wiring diagrams from erwin, and I've already checked the connection L (blue wire) all the way to the body control module (connector XS4, pin 9) and found it to be in good condition.
After the intermediate connector on the transmission, the DFM disappears into a mysterious box 27, which is never mentioned again in a meaningful way (The number 27 sometimes appears with a different cable color on the climate control system, but you're less likely to encounter it there).
I actually assume that the DFM (Direct Fuel Injector) is directly connected to the engine control unit, and I've already measured all the contacts -> none of them have continuity.
Since I'm not entirely confident in relying solely on the cable color when replacing the wire, it would be great if someone who has access to better wiring diagrams could kindly identify the corresponding pin for me.
According to Jose from Seat, this data (signal description) is only missing from the VAS tester, even though some signal groups (SGs) have the data included in the existing plans.
Thanks, Ulf, but for me it was pin 48, if I remember correctly.
The cable runs from the 2-pin connector on the transmission to the motor control unit, using a yellow/green wire.
I've now replaced the cable up to the generator regulator, and now there are no more problems. Now, the generator load is also showing again in the MWB16/1 .
