Speed "frozen" at ~1200

Recently, while accelerating in third gear, the RPM of my TDI engine (engine code ASV) got stuck at approximately 1200 RPM. No matter how much I pressed the accelerator, it wouldn't go any higher. However, when I released the gas pedal and disengaged the clutch, the engine didn't drop to idle speed; the RPM simply remained "stuck" at 1200 RPM.

After turning it off and on again, the problem was fixed, and I didn't think about it anymore. However, the same thing happened again just now, and twice in a row.

The error memory is like an empty bottle.

I can't imagine that your error memory is clear given this kind of error.

To my knowledge, the fixed engine speed is selected by the engine control unit when a problem with the throttle position sensor is detected.
It would be interesting if it were possible to read out the measurement data blocks of the engine control unit for "driver requests" even in the event of a fault.
