hello

My friend has a Caddy from 1998 with the engine code AHU, and he also has...
"He has another MKB engine (110 hp) with wiring harness, etc. He wants to install the AHF engine into his Caddy. The hardware part isn't a problem, but the wiring harness and control unit obviously won't fit. Does anyone know how to adapt these components to each other, or do you know of a company that can help him with the electrical aspects? Surely, there must be a way to make it work."
Thank you in advance for any tips.

bye christian

Are there any companies that specialize in this kind of thing?
This definitely isn't the first time this has been done.

bye christian

Hi.

Well, with digital motors, it's not that simple anymore.
AHU and ASV are different engine generations, and their engine control units (ECUs) have, as far as I know, different connectors. Additionally, they connect to the gas (accelerator), brake, and clutch systems, and even these switches may have different wiring configurations.

It's likely that the ASV engine control unit uses a different "dialect" than the AHU-WFS, and this issue cannot be resolved through calibration.

In this case, you not only need the engine and its immediate electronics from the donor vehicle, but essentially almost the entire on-board electrical system, except perhaps for the reversing light icon_evil.gif.

Happy searching!
