Now, regarding the question, I saw a "Powerbox" from PSItuning, which is an ATU for PD TDI's, and I'm arguing with my friend. As far as I can see from the public wiring diagrams, only 5 wires are addressed on the 8-pin connector (e.g., 038 973 121 on a Golf 2000). For me, it seems like there are 4 for the magnetic valves of the pump units, and one as a reference potential, so normal open/close control, nothing else. <- My opinion.

However, my friend claims that some data is being transmitted through one of the lines. Since we don't have an oscilloscope, we can't verify this. Maybe you know more.
