Hi.

I have 3 dents (likely from atmospheric re-entry icon_wink.gif).
Two were located at the front edge of the hood, and one was in the center of the A-pillar.

They have turned brown now.

What should I do?
- Simply seal it with a marker.

- First, "sand" the surface with a fiber optic pen.

I see larger actions, like proper sanding, as overkill.

1. "Remove rust" using a method that seems appropriate for you (the more thorough the method, the longer the result will last).

2. Apply touch-up paint.

"I always apply a rust-inhibiting primer first, then some spot putty. I sand it down a bit to make it smooth (using 800 grit sandpaper), and then I use a touch-up pen and clear coat. This way, I can completely smooth out the stone chips and make them almost invisible."

However, it also involves a bit more effort.

I've now "sealed" them, meaning I've applied paint and a clear coat, and they're finished.

You can always do the loops and have all that fun again.
I'll start by messing around with the golf club icon_smile.gif.

Sealing the rust first is not a good idea... Why not just use your fiberglass pen to sand it down point by point instead?
