Parking Brake Light: Troubleshooting & Fixes

Hello!

"The parking brake warning light is constantly illuminated on my Sharan. When I engage the parking brake, the light becomes slightly brighter. I haven't been able to locate the microswitch yet. Does anyone know where it's located?"

Brake fluid level is too low, or the instrument cluster thinks it is.

But the brake fluid level is okay. I've already tried disconnecting the connectors for the handbrake switch and the brake fluid reservoir, but without success. The light is still on and it's annoying .
