Audi 80 B4 Steering Rack - Replacement

Hello,
What is the best way to check the head bearing supports for wear on a vehicle? Vehicle: Audi 80 Avant B4.
Using a lever between the bearing support and the stabilizer bar, I can move the axle to the left and right against tension (it springs back). The car is resting on its wheels, and the handbrake is not engaged. The amount of force required is comparable on both the left and right sides. Unfortunately, the repair manual and other manuals don't provide any information on this.
"The TÜV (German technical inspection agency) didn't find any issues last year. I'm asking because I have a vehicle alignment scheduled for another reason, and it's not supposed to be because of worn-out rear suspension components."

visual inspection:
-Rubber torn?
-Are the inner and outer parts still connected by the rubber?

HA-lager rarely break.

Hi,
When installed, the bearings appear to be in good condition. However, the bearing supports obscure everything, so you can only see the actual condition of the rubber bearings after removing them from the supports. To do this, I would have to disconnect the brake lines and remove the brake force regulator. I wanted to avoid that, because if I had to do that, I would probably just replace the bearings anyway.

Go to the TÜV/Dekra inspection center and have your car tested on the shaker plate.

You can't force those things in yourself (unless you have a special tool or press), they're quite large and very difficult to insert.
