I purchased a test engine control unit (ECU) from a Golf BKC 105PS with an EDC16U1-5.41 03G906016DF_0281011901 to try out BDM (Binary Data Management) programming.
The control unit cannot be read via the BDM port, but it can be read using VCDS and Byteshooter.
I then tried it in a Golf V with a 90PS engine, EDC16U1-5.41 software, using the part numbers 03G906016FS and 0281011955, and I encountered this error and the car won't start. I previously compared the wiring diagrams and couldn't find any differences.

Are the control units different, or is one of them defective?
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for such a control unit? VCDS
