The VTG is stiff or not movable to the lower end. This occurred at a mileage of 94,000 km. Then, after 650 km of continuous use on the highway (holiday return journey), it was functioning normally for 3 months. Now, at approximately 102,000 km, the turbocharger needs to be replaced at VAG. (At least, the car was handed over to VAG today with this repair order), after the turbocharger failed to build up sufficient pressure during the diagnostic process.

Driving Profile: For the first 94,000 km, I can only say: USED AS A DRIVING SCHOOL CAR
Since then, it has been operating in a mixed mode for 9,000 km. 75% on highways; 15% on country roads; 10% in urban areas.

I have an A6 C4, current mileage around 230,000 km, 1st turbocharger, I've often had problems with the timing belt, MKB AEL, chipped by Nothelle in Mülheim, around 160 hp. However, I've always been lucky and haven't had any engine damage, my wife has good hearing (noise from the water pump, etc.). The oil consumption is 1.0 liter per 15,000 km, approximately 35% city, the rest on the highway. I've never really floored it, but I've always maintained very good average speeds. I'm very satisfied and let's see how long the engine lasts. The fuel consumption is around 7 liters of diesel.

I don't know exactly what was done to the vehicle before (a well-maintained company vehicle, owned by a previous owner).

Defect at approximately 100,000 km. Faulty control box, resulting in excessive speed and subsequent rotor failure in the exhaust duct.

320,000 Km A6 5-cylinder = AEL with 1. Charger (320Tkm with tuning)
340,000 Km A100 5-cylinder = NC with 1.L charger
180,000 Km Go3 4-cylinder = AAZ with 1 turbocharger (90,000 Km with tuning)

Previous B
300,000 Km A200 5-cylinder = 3B with 1 turbocharger (100,000 km with tuning)
240,000 Km A200 5-cylinder = 3B with 2-stage turbo (15,000 km with tuning) 1. Lader had high oil consumption.
280.000Km S4 5Zyl. = AAN with 1. Charger (40Tkm with tuning)

currently (my 1. VTG)
165,000 Km, Pass3BG, 4 Cyl. = AVF with 1. Charger (2Tkm with tuning)

audi a4 tdi AFN 300tkm charger completely ok and full boost pressure consumption: 6-8 liters
audi a3 tdi ALH 270tkm, charger ok
verbrauch: 5,2-7liter
golf 4 PD 130ps, turbo ok, 200tkm
audi a6 2.5tdi, build 320tkm, first turbocharger, but now making some noises (80%BAB), consumption: no idea, father-in-law, but drives more gently.


We have been driving these three Audis for many years and they all have the original turbocharger.

city: 20%
land: 40%
BAB: 40%

Ride Profile: Always ride warm and cold, otherwise full throttle.
