Golf V TDI 1.9 BLS: Performance Data & Specs

Since my car was experiencing a jerky motion and a lack of throttle response shortly after starting a few days ago, I am currently in the process of troubleshooting the issue.

The error occurred only once, approximately 3 times, each time at around 1500 rpm. I then drove at lower speeds, and on the next attempt, everything was normal.

No errors found.

Today I created a log file. The charging pressure seems to be okay, and the AGR value also corresponds to the expected value.

Maximum speed achieved: 196 km/h, calculated based on logged engine speed and gear ratio, and also acceptable in terms of power output.

"However, I would like to check the mass airflow sensor. Unfortunately, I can't find the target value (expected value) in either the main diagnostic data or the extended measurement data; I only see the actual value. Can anyone help me with this?"

What surprises me is that the AGR (Abgasrückführung) seems to be always open (at approximately 4000 rpm and 100% throttle position, but the target value is 85g/h), or am I interpreting the values incorrectly?

Yes. Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) does not occur at full throttle, but it does occur at partial throttle (see the duty cycle of the control signal in the relevant measurement block).

The small differences between the desired and actual values for air mass/EGR are caused by the control system and the temporal sampling differences. The actual value can never be 100% of the desired value.
The duty cycle is the 4th value in measurement block 3.

It's difficult to determine the optimal mileage for cleaning the intake system based solely on kilometers, as it depends heavily on the driving conditions.
Frequent short trips with light loads (resulting in a high AGR rate) and low operating temperatures lead to more deposits than longer trips with heavier loads.

"Proactively cleaning the intercooler pipes and turbocharger cooler is not really worthwhile. Perhaps you could clean the EGR valve after around 150,000 km, if you feel like it. As long as there are no problems, the benefit is rather limited."

I logged in twice today. Once, the injection was MWB 18.23.7, and the second time it was MWB 3.8.10.

It doesn't make much sense to always log the same conditions when the error doesn't occur.
If logging is to be done, it should ideally cover as many load states as possible, especially those where the error occurs.

If the "problem" doesn't appear directly in the log and is only occurring sporadically, I'm afraid you'll simply have to wait until the problem a) occurs more frequently/constantly or b) is logged in a way that it appears in the log and can be reproduced.

What happened to the readiness status?

PS: With PD injection, the fuel flows through the cylinder head, which is why it's perfectly normal to have slightly higher fuel temperatures.
