Hello, I found the following error code today while performing a diagnostic scan with VCDS:

Wednesday, August 22, 2012, 1:48:27 PM.
VCDS version: RKS 11.11.3
Data as of: 20120406.

Address 62: Door electrics, left and right. Label file: RKS\1K0-959-703-GEN3.lbl.
Control unit part number: 1K0 959 703 K, Hardware version: 1K0 959 703 K.
Component and/or version: Door - SG 006 1206.
Encoding: 0000144
Company number: WSC 69205 141 1012569
VCID: 385079D34B48AA9
"One error found:"

00102 - Button for interior locking; rear left (E310).
008 - implausible signal.

Does anyone have any idea what's wrong with that?
The error reappears immediately after being cleared, and there are no malfunctions or limitations whatsoever with the rear left door...

Thank you for your help, Peter.

Hello,

Hmm, there shouldn't be a button for the interior locking mechanism in that location. I suspect it's a software glitch.

Relatively speaking, there are software updates for your vehicle for this reason -> Starting from icon_smile.gif.

Best regards, Rainer.

Do the windows also suddenly move in the opposite direction of the switch's command?
Should I disconnect the battery to do this?

There were some Golf5 door control modules that failed in exactly the same way – the only solution is to replace them.

But icon_smile.gif will be able to clarify that.

Okay, please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation.

Hello,

First of all, thank you very much for your answers/help!

But does the control unit necessarily have to be broken, considering there are no restrictions or problems with the rear left door?

Best regards, Peter.

Well...

what does "kaputt" mean?

Reichen Dir die Dir bekannten Funktionen? Then it's all done.

Does it make you uncomfortable when a system throws errors related to parts that don't actually exist?
And is that then also distributed via the CAN bus?
Do you know how other ECUs react to that?
... Then I would run it under "Action Required" (colloquially, "broken") icon_smile.gif.
