@Nuckelpinne72
The 'buggy' 115PS PD model, which was readily available as a used car, fortunately, according to my research here, is not what we're talking about.
Hey, that's not nice at all the way you're talking about my darling . You're also complaining that people shouldn't write anything negative about your AXR .
No, but seriously. I've driven my AJM (manufactured in 09/00) for 60,000 km so far and haven't had any problems. Fingers crossed. Although, it's still not a huge mileage. However, I've already had other cars that have given me problems before.

Hi,
Sorry, when I said 'buggy,' I was only referring to the well-known issues with the early AJM engines, such as timing belt failure and the jerky 6-speed transmission. There's a solution for both of those things now.
Otherwise, the AJM engine has many good qualities: 300 Nm of torque and a 6-speed gearbox.
Have fun with it.
I wasn't offended, but I'm afraid that further threads with the topic 'AXR disasters,' which then focus on things like shock absorbers or the tow hitch rather than the engine, will degrade the AXR here to being considered a complete design flaw.
How am I supposed to sell this, if Bertil continues to have so much trouble?
Regards,
Marcus.

Well, then everything is clear.
What mileage have you achieved with your AXR engine so far?

27,500 kilometers and still no 'Low Level' service message. I bought it with 8,000 kilometers and immediately had the oil, air, and diesel filters changed.
So far, my only real problem has been a squeaking noise coming from the front left suspension when it retracts.
Could these be stabilizer rubbers? I plan to have an Eibach suspension system installed next spring and, in the process, resolve the issue under warranty.
The standard suspension feels too soft for me at higher speeds. It took some getting used to after switching from the new Mondeo.
Regards,
Marcus.

I ordered it with the VW sport suspension from the factory and later had Eibach springs installed. The result is very convincing. The suspension is firm, but still offers enough comfort.
A complete Eibach suspension system would, of course, be even better. It's not cheap.

The Eibach springs are already here, but since installation and TÜV approval are quite expensive, I was thinking of replacing the dampers at the same time. Maybe that will also solve the squeaking problem. Bertil didn't have much good to say about his original shock absorbers.

Let's get back to the main topic:
The LLK (likely referring to a lubricant or coolant system) can only be the cause of oil leaks if it's not functioning properly; otherwise, the oil would be burned off.
However, this still doesn't explain the cause of the oil consumption. 1 liter per 10,000 kilometers is already quite a lot for a VAG vehicle, and it's happening again now. There must be another defect present, such as a blocked ventilation system. Gruß Christian

I once experienced something similar with my 1Z. The cooling system was damaged due to a collision with an animal, and I had an extremely high oil consumption for a short period. I cannot explain why.

Let's wait and see if the oil consumption remains at this level, and then we'll decide what to do next. Gruß Bertil
