UnWhat exactly is map-based cooling?

Best regards and thank you, Thomas.

Hi,
It's a Golf4 Estate (2002) with a 100hp common rail diesel engine (AXR). I got the air conditioning unit from a car dismantler who no longer remembers which vehicle it came from. However, in the wiring diagrams for a 1.6 Motronic (BAD) engine from 2001 onwards, I found the control signal for the heater switch. But I'm not sure if I can simply omit that control signal...
Best regards, Tom.

Hello,

"In this context, the term 'map cooling' refers to engine cooling."
If your wiring harness is otherwise correctly wired, you can connect the additional connector without connecting it to anything.

'Thank you, I was almost driven crazy... So, installing an air conditioner is really not a piece of cake, but now I have the cables, the compressor, and the pipes inside. I spent two whole days working on the wiring harness + studying the circuit diagrams!!! That's the A and O. If something goes wrong here, it's all for nothing.'
Best regards, Thomas.
