"Relay 109/219" for the Passat 3C BLS

Hi,

"Where is the relay for the voltage supply from the engine control unit (ECU) located in a 2006 3C vehicle with a BLS engine?" We have a vehicle that is repeatedly failing. The engine control unit (ECU) has no fault codes stored. However, the fault memory modules for ABS, instrument cluster, steering, etc., all show an error message that essentially translates to "no communication with the engine control unit."

Does that even still exist?

Because then it would only start to decay after the initial sound, but I don't hear anything after that.

It should be located in the engine compartment, on the left side, inside the electrical box. The fuse would be SB14.

The fuses SB16, 20, 23, and 24 are also connected to the same terminal block as SB14. These should also not have any electrical current flowing through them if they are defective.

Before the motor control unit (STG), there should be a junction point in the cable harness (1 to 3 wires, color red/green) that connects to terminals 3, 5, and 6 on the STG.

Ah, OK.

That will probably coincide with the timing of the throttle valve adjustment... and it will be louder.

Thank you, we have now checked... unfortunately, the engine control unit (ECU) is defective .
