Hello,
'I'm having starting problems with my Audi A3 TDI 110hp, manufactured in 1999, when it has been standing for several hours (e.g., overnight or during the day).'
Once it's turned on, it starts up and runs without any problems.
I've noticed that, seemingly, a relay or something else often malfunctions repeatedly after the initial startup phase.
Could the problem be with the parking meter?
Or what else could it be?
Could you please tell me where I can find the fuel cutoff switch in the engine compartment?
Thank you very much, and best regards.

Hello,
The fuel shut-off valve is located in the ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and blocks the fuel supply. If the shut-off valve were to activate, the engine would either stall immediately or experience excessive misfiring.
Best regards, Rainer.

Hello,
If you hear a clicking sound around 2500 RPM, it's likely the glow plug relay. It shouldn't be audible below or above that RPM range.
Best regards,
renwal
P.S. Of course, this only applies under appropriate outdoor temperatures.
