Default settings for DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox), the following instructions apply to the use of our VCDS diagnostic systems (HEX-V2 or HEX-NET).

7-speed DSG basic setting (transverse engine, transmission 0AM)

Conditions:
- No errors found in the TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) system.
- Gear oil temperature: 30°C - 60°C. The temperature of the G510 can be found in measurement block 011.1.
- Gear selector in "P" (Park) position, ignition ON, engine OFF, parking brake engaged.
- Brake pedal pressed (keep it pressed down throughout the entire procedure).
- Accelerator pedal not depressed.

Attention: Please follow the following steps and complete the defined test drive.

Measurement block 060.

Defined test drive, 7-speed DSG, 0AM

Conditions:
- Transmission oil temperature > 30°C. The temperature of the G510 can be found in measurement block 011.1.
- Do not use cruise control.

Procedure for the defined test drive after replacing the mechatronic unit/TCM and/or after successful initial setup.

Each time, use the +/- shift lever (Tiptronic mode, applies to all subsequent steps) and accelerate in second gear with partial throttle.
Stop and repeat the process.
Shift into reverse twice and then shift back to a forward gear/drive forward.
In each forward gear, drive for at least 3 seconds.

Now, drive in either A) or B) within the appropriate RPM ranges:
A = Gänge 4 oder 6 (4. (Walking preferred)
B = Gänge 3, 5 oder 7 (5. (Walking preferred)
Maintain the engine speed within the range of 2000-4500 rpm and drive for at least one minute (two minutes recommended) in both A) and B).
Drive with varying accelerator pedal positions, ensuring you accelerate to full throttle at least once in both A) and B).
Measurement blocks 180.1 and 200.1 should confirm the adjustments made to the couplings with values of 3 or greater. Incomplete adjustments will be corrected during normal operation.


Attention: If the test drive cannot be performed or cannot be performed as described, attempts will be made to carry out the remaining adjustments during normal operation. Some control units do not require the use of the [ON/OFF/CONTINUE] buttons. If an error is displayed after clicking the respective button, or if the status of the basic setting does not change to "ON", proceed with the procedure without interaction and allow it to complete.
It is normal for the transmission to make noises during the tolerance adjustment process. Please do not interrupt the initial setup if you hear "clicking" sounds.




7-speed DSG basic setting (longitudinal engine, transmission 0B5)

Conditions:
- No errors are stored in the TCM (Transmission Control Module) or other control units in the powertrain.
- Gear oil level is correct.
- Gear oil temperature: 40°C - 100°C. The temperature of the G510 can be found in measurement block 011.1.
- Gear selector in "P" (Park) position, ignition ON, engine OFF, parking brake engaged.
- Brake pedal pressed (keep it pressed down throughout the entire procedure).
- Accelerator pedal not depressed.

Attention: All three initial setup procedures must be completed in the following order.

Use counters to start/stop the procedures.

[Ok!] to enable the basic settings.
After the result is displayed, indicating that everything is okay or that the motor is not running, click [Stop].

- Do not use cruise control.

In Tiptronic mode (+/-), start from a standstill and shift up to 6th gear. While in this mode, drive in 3rd or 5th gear for approximately 5 minutes, and also drive in 4th or 6th gear for approximately 5 minutes each.
The engine speed should be between 1200 and 3500 rpm (for clutch adjustment).
Now switch to a normal driving mode, brake sharply (come to a stop), and then accelerate fully (oil return check).
Check the driving behavior and transmission for leaks.


Attention: If the test drive cannot be performed or cannot be performed as described, attempts will be made to carry out the remaining adjustments during normal operation. - Select the "P" (Park) position on the gear selector, turn the ignition ON, and start the engine (idle).
- Brake pedal depressed (keep pressed down for the entire procedure, see IDE02713 Brake Light Switch / IDE02714 Brake test switch).
- Accelerator pedal not depressed.
