Hello forum,

Again, AFB.

When accelerating from 2nd to 3rd gear, I experience very smooth acceleration, with the engine RPM increasing uniformly from approximately 1800 RPM to around 3000 RPM.
At 3000 RPM, it briefly roars like an animal and then quiets down again. At approximately 3500 RPM, the same thing happens again.
LMM is brand new and in good condition.
I also disconnected the hose on the AGR valve, but it didn't help. In fact, I felt like it made it worse.
I think the VTG (vertical takeoff and landing) mechanism is moving too easily. I can easily move the support rod with a screwdriver.

'Anyone have any ideas? I'm about to get a VAG Com, I'm just waiting for the adapter I already bought. It would be great if someone could give me a tip on how to figure out what's wrong.'
By the way, there's absolutely no soot or noise.

Best regards,
Johannes.

Hello Johannes!
Try replacing the main relay, specifically the one labeled '109' in the relay box.
I've had this problem before, and I was able to solve it with this.
'Contact smoldering often occurs (due to embers on the surfaces).'
Best regards from Vienna! And please let me know!

Hello Johannes,
I had the same problem with my 1Z.
I initially suspected that the wastegate was not properly adjusted.
Nachdem Austausch des Ladedruckregelventils, welches ganze 30€!... icon_lol.gif costs.
The effect had disappeared, and the engine is now running perfectly again.

Regards,

Markus.
