Symptoms:
Engine stalls after heavy acceleration, EPC light is on, error code 18047 or 00777, "Gas pedal position sensor - implausible signal".

Causes:
In the case of the gas pedal position sensor, increased wear of the potentiometer track can lead to an insulating coating with occasional voltage drops. In the event of failure, the gasoline engine reduces its torque by 50%, and the diesel engine switches to a reduced operating speed of 1500 rpm. After turning the ignition off and on, the intermittent fault is reset, and the vehicle regains its full engine power.

Solution:
Partial Replacement. Affected is only the pedal module from the company Hella.
