Gradual performance loss over time, jerky operation and irregular engine running.

Cause:
Possible significant wear of camshafts with deep grooves on the cam lobes in the millimeter range, approximately from 150,000 km, due to the combination of unfavorable tolerances. Irregular engine running and jerking due to changed valve opening angles.


KD-Solution
In case of complaint, specifically hardened camshafts must be installed. As long as the cylinder heads, connecting rods, and hydraulic lifters are in good condition, their replacement is not necessary when using the hardened camshafts.
