VCDS Hardware Update: Is it Possible?

"I own a VCDS RKS MicroCAN interface. However, my fleet of vehicles has expanded, and I can't read all of them with this interface because I need a HEX CAN interface for that. I understand that this interface has different hardware. Is there a way to update the interface by swapping out components, or do I have to buy a new one and sell the MicroCAN? I couldn't find anything about this in the shop."
