Hey, while I was changing the shock absorbers, I noticed the control arms. The rubber bushings were already starting to deteriorate, so I decided to replace them completely – both upper and lower ones, along with the tie rods and ball joints.
The control arms weren't completely finished yet, even though they were the first ones from 2002... but they weren't bad at all.
The work was incredibly difficult under the carport, with jacks and two car lifts...
I had the wheel alignment done today. There were slight deviations due to the new steering knuckles, but nothing major... now everything is back to normal.
The Bilstein B4 shock absorbers actually work perfectly well with the original suspension system!
It's wonderful to be able to enjoy driving comfort again, and now it drives like a new car, for the next 12 years...
Sven.
