I bought an Audi A4, model year 2005, with a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) and a 3.0 TDI engine producing 204 horsepower, some time ago. MKB: BKN
The car now has 264,000 kilometers on the odometer.
I've noticed that it occasionally smokes when running at partial load. The smoke comes in bursts, and then stops. But it happens from time to time. When running at full load or when idling, everything is fine.
Water or oil consumption could not be determined.
Otherwise, it drives normally, has full power, and there are no strange noises, etc.
It's not necessarily about the mass airflow sensor (MAF) itself, but rather what disconnecting it causes.
Normally, you can drive 500-600 km before the engine check light comes on, and even then, it won't go into limp mode.
Try it.
