DSG transmission enters limp mode at oil temperatures above 70°C

Hello everyone.

"I'm getting the following error message as soon as the transmission exceeds a temperature of approximately 65..70°C. To provide some background, the car was involved in a minor accident, and the transmission cover was dented by about 3...4 mm. The circuit board/contact plate of the mechatronic valves was slightly bent, but the rest "appears" to be fine. When the transmission is cold, it runs perfectly." The other errors can be ignored

Unfortunately, hairline cracks in electronic components often become noticeable due to temperature changes. Varying temperatures cause components made of different materials to expand at different rates, which results in tiny shifts in their position. If a contact or a conductive trace is not 100% functional, it can cause interruptions or short circuits, depending on the nature of the damage.

It might be possible to remove the transmission cover with the transmission still installed. Should replacement parts be sourced from a similar, used gearbox?
