"I'm having a problem where it sometimes takes significantly longer for the car to start, and even the oil pressure warning light comes on. It's not frequent, but usually it takes 5-10 seconds for it to start."
However, this is only sporadic and rather rare. Recently, the car also ran very roughly while idling and stalled again.
After restarting, it worked again without any problems.
There was no noticeable loss of power or hesitation during driving.
The battery is new.
All four injectors were replaced and deemed to be functioning correctly after being adjusted in small increments.
Starting speed is 260-270 RPM.
AGR is still the first, with 100,000 km.
The engine control unit's fault memory is also empty.
Today, I had an entry in the system indicating a "defective body control module."
Does anyone else experience this problem?

According to ADAC, the problem may be with the AGR (AbgasrĂŒckfĂŒhrung) system. I did a diagnostic log, but in my opinion, the AGR values seem correct, or am I mistaken? Here are the logs attached.

Hi,
If the EGR system were not functioning mechanically, the emergency program would be activated relatively quickly, along with a corresponding error message.
Best regards, Rainer.

AGR has been activated, but a basic calibration cannot be initiated.
"Not running..." (as the status).
Even with Odis, it only says "process initiated," and I'm wondering if the engine needs to be running during the basic settings procedure?
It worked perfectly the last time I used it for golf.

Hi,
Are you sure it even needs a basic calibration? Doesn't the device have a position sensor to determine its current position?
Best regards, Rainer.

It works like that anyway, but what's the point of having the function in VCDS then?
Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:
"LG" is an abbreviation for "Liebe GrĂŒĂe," which means "Best regards" or "Best wishes" in English.

"Good question, was a basic adjustment actually necessary in this case (CAY* engine code)?"
Best regards, Rainer.

It sounds like there might be air in the fuel system. I would check everything related to that and monitor the fuel rail pressure, comparing the target value to the actual value, during startup and idle.
And your starting speed is also too low; the starter motor usually rotates the engine faster. Starting is not possible below a certain minimum speed or a certain minimum fuel pressure.
Best regards, Rainer.
