N75 ebenfalls okay. LMM is new.

"If the car has an automatic transmission, it will eventually trigger an error and switch to a limp mode when driven at full throttle. Turning the ignition off and on again provides a temporary fix until the next time it's driven at full throttle."

At approximately 2,500 RPM, the actual boost pressure starts to deviate from the target value. At 4,000 RPM, the deviation is already 500 mbar.

It's important to mention that the turbo was replaced some time ago. Apparently, the previous replacement was "bad," as the colleague said, and someone from Bulgaria then installed a "new" turbo. This one ran for 3000 km in four months without any problems until the issue started recently.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure what's actually true about all of that.

Tomorrow, I'm going to spend the evening working late into the night, but I wanted to show you the log file and ask if you have any suggestions before I end up wasting hours troubleshooting again like I did today.

Best regards,
Rene.

Okay, something else I should mention is that I did a VTG gymnastics test with a VCDS, and I got readings of 989 mBar and 1122 mBar. However, the difference seems quite small to me.
Should I continue to focus primarily on the VTG shaft?

Hi,

im Leerlauf? Normal.
You have written a lot and said little. How about you write whether the boost pressure deviates upwards or downwards? icon_thanks.gif
Okay, it's probably increasing, even though the error message doesn't specify which value is the setpoint and which is the actual value.

Check:

I'm sorry, you're right.
As you mentioned, the exhaust deflects upwards. At 4000 RPM when stationary, we're already at 2 bar of boost pressure. Deviations start at 2500 RPM. Everything works fine when stationary. The problem only occurs during driving under full load, and then it goes into limp mode.

Hi there.

I spontaneously thought of:

"Has the variable geometry (VTG) component been changed? Was it modified in the "new" Turbo? Otherwise, the VTG adjustment mechanism in the turbine itself is also prone to problems and can sometimes get stuck."
Then the only solution is to disassemble and clean it. The behavior can vary depending on whether it's cold or warm.

Theoretically, the boost pressure sensor could also provide incorrect readings. However, if the error only occurs sporadically, this is less likely.
Beste GrĂŒĂŸe,
Hufe

Hi,

Based on the background information, I'm leaning towards "rebuilt turbocharger with cheap parts." It's usually the same story: an inexperienced person buys Chinese replacement parts for the turbocharger and then thinks they're a turbocharger expert.

Best regards, Rainer.
