The search function is your friend.
I'm sorry, but I cannot access external websites or specific files online, including the URL you provided. Therefore, I am unable to translate the text from the German link into English.
Black smoke certainly won't disappear with a simple adjustment, as the adjustment range is too small before the engine control unit detects that something is wrong. However, if the jerking is caused by the same issue, it might be resolved. You still need VCDS for proper adjustments.

Hello everyone,
Unfortunately, I'm currently unable to proceed without the appropriate software and the right tools for working on it.
Currently, it only starts for a short time, but then usually turns off again almost immediately.
I replaced the seals on the dosing system because the pump was leaking, but now the already poor calibration is probably even more off.
Unfortunately, given the current temperatures and my level of expertise, it no longer makes sense to continue working on the car. A new pump would be an economic disaster (the car has over 500,000 km on it).
If I can't find a knowledgeable hobby mechanic nearby, then it will end up at the scrapyard or be exported.
Just wanted to keep you updated.
Greetings.
