Hey,
Are there only CFCA engines (BiTdi, 179 hp, Euro5) in the T6?
or even the successor models with the 204 hp Euro6 engines.
that are clearly not reliable?

Best regards, Andreas.

It is suspected that the coating in the EGR cooler is not functioning, which causes the aluminum to oxidize. This aluminum oxide is then likely drawn in and destroys the cylinder liners.

"With other models in the group's vehicle lineup, there's no mention of this problem. I can't understand why these pointless errors and issues are being created today, and why the T5 should have a different coating on the AGR cooler compared to other models."

The T5 with CFCA is the only one with this type of cooler design; all other engine configurations have a different one.

Here's the information from the CFCA:

[T5-AGR-Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Module with Oil Filter Holder, CFCA Diesel Engine, 2.0L BiTDI]

Here's what the others said:

[Original VW AG EGR cooler exhaust gas recirculation control valve gasket T5 03L131512DS]

The only manufacturer is Pierburg, if you're looking for the original part.
The "Friendly" product has two labels on it, one from VW and another from Pierburg.

The article number in the link above is NOT for the improved cooler!

Here are the OEM numbers with explanations:

03L 115 512 A and 03L 115 512 C are the...
Cooler with the old, likely defective coating!

03L 115 512 D is the new and improved radiator.

"As far as I know, the Pierburg part number hasn't changed. It's important to make sure that the parts dealer is selling a new part and not a product that's been sitting around for a long time."
There is a production stamp on the heatsink.
(stamped). The "accessory cooler" is absolutely identical.
and are available from parts dealers for €500-€600.
Apparently, the radiator costs around 1000 euros at the friendly dealer.

The AGR, oil cooler, and oil filter are pre-installed.

Best regards, Andreas.
