Hello everyone,
I'd like some advice or a tip from you. We have a Smart CDI in our family's fleet of vehicles. The Smart keeps leaking oil from the connection between the turbocharger pressure hose and the mixer housing, towards the oil cooler. The connection is a peculiar type of connector that is often used by VAG (Volkswagen Group). Unfortunately, a completely new hose hasn't improved the situation. Wrapping the connector with tape also didn't help. I remember reading something about gluing it in this forum, but I can't find the thread anymore. What kind of adhesive or sealant can I use here?

Thank you and best regards.
Reuselkopp.

Hi,

Oil-/fuel-resistant silicone?

Best regards, Rainer.

Hello Rainer,
Thank you for your tip. I just ordered Mannol 9912, which should work.

Regards,

Hello reuselkopp.
"Back then, in the 11th grade, I used a silicone tube from a hardware store (and documented it here in a thread). It worked very well." I cannot say how easy or difficult the disassembly would be.
I am unable to translate "haithamina" because it does not appear to be a word or phrase in the German language. It may be a misspelling, a proper noun, or a term from a specialized field. If you can provide more context or clarify the intended meaning, I would be happy to assist you with the translation.
