Hello, I need some help again. I just bought a genuine Garrett turbocharger.
Before installation, I tested the oil line (feed line) for functionality. A container with a capacity of approximately 2 liters was placed under the connection point for the turbocharger. The engine was started, and the container filled with oil within 10 seconds.
Could it be that the oil pump is supplying too much oil pressure to the turbocharger?
The oil pipe return line was checked for flow back to the oil pan, and it was working correctly.
Turbocharger installed, but initially without the EGR pipes. The exhaust pipe was temporarily removed. The engine was started for 20 seconds. Afterwards, a slight oil film was visible on the exhaust side, while the compressor side was dry.
After installing all the AGR pipes, I started the engine. After 30 seconds, I noticed oil leaking and accumulating on the exhaust side. It was a slow leak.
I called Turbotechnik Altmark, and they told me that it had happened before that the oil pump generated too much pressure, but it could also be the KGE (Kühler-Getriebe-Einheit).
Does anyone here have experience with

?
