Hello,
I would like to perform a micro-adjustment of the injectors on a Caddy III Kombi 16V 2.0 TDI, manufactured in 2012, or "learn the injector tolerances." Unfortunately, I can't find anything about this in the VCDS basic settings.
Background: I've been noticing increased diesel knocking when the engine is cold. This was similar about two years ago. At that time, a small amount of additive was used to fix the problem, which was administered by a certified workshop. Now, I hope for a similar successful outcome.
Greetings.
Alex.

Hello,
Please check the adaptation channels in your engine control unit.
Best regards, Rainer.

Hi there,
Alternative setting: Reset learning values.
Do not change the closing time correction when using the adaptation feature!
What do the values for idle speed correction indicate?

Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything similar (see Screenshot).

What do the values say for the idle correction? |
I have some screenshots regarding the quantity discrepancy and closing time correction. Cylinder 2 seems to be behaving differently.
What can be expected when resetting the learning parameters?
Thank you in advance and best regards.
Alex.

That the engine runs even worse than it does now.
The values for the idle speed control are still within acceptable limits.
Do you always get gas at the same gas station? Sometimes, switching gas stations or brands can help if there's a problem (it's rare, but I've occasionally experienced situations where the car behaved strangely after getting gas from the same station).
Best regards, Rainer.

Hello,
That means there's no way to trigger the adaptation of small quantities using VCDS, right?

No, but the one we have locally feels like it's the worst.
Greetings.
Alex.
PS: Lately, a loud clicking sound has been accompanying the cold engine. It sounds like a faulty hydraulic lifter on a gasoline engine...

It probably isn't worth it, but take a look at what's possible with the basic settings. I already know about the customization options â consider them given.
